There is a Hockey Revolution Going On at Lano Sports

It’s a good 6-7 hours between Petersfield and Glasgow but the word is out that Lano has the ultimate in hockey surfaces and the revolution is gaining pace. With the first installation at Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow coming up to almost 18 months old, Lano has since supplied Hockey Revolution to schools and clubs the breadth of the country including as far south as Petersfield and up to Surfleet HC in Spalding.

One of the only monofilament sand-dressed hockey surfaces on the market, Hockey Revolution is unique in its softness, stability and speed of play. Indeed, it not only passes the FIH National standard but also conforms to the majority of the FIH Global tests, making it a hybrid sand-dressed/waterbased surface, without the need for watering.

In addition to fast-becoming one of the leading sand-dressed systems on the market, its FIH Global equivalent is establishing itself as a top international surface, having been laid at several clubs around Europe, including Lille HC, Mechelse HC and Amsterdam HC. Its uniqueness is the fact that it uses a soft, curled monofilament yarn which creates a true, fast ball roll. As the yarn does not split up, these characteristics are retained in the longer term.
